do you still unlock the master levels the same way as in the original

that was my highest gaming achievement

It’s great to revisit these almost 20 years later without having played them in-between. It’s a much more reasonable cadence for a remake/remaster.

I did find myself very annoyed with the business of video games after I bought the $40 version on Switch thinking it would include the DLC but the $40 Deluxe version on Steam is $50 on Switch and apparently Nintendo refuses to issue refunds so I just coughed up $5 for the original OST.

It melted away as soon as I started playing, though.

Yeah having now played this a bunch it doesn’t feel remotely like the tuning in the originals and that’s probably OK… it’s just a different game. There’s a lot of stuff in here!

Im inclined to agree. Different but not strictly worse.
I’m enjoying it significantly more now having gotten the original soundtrack.

I do wish they’d fix the physics on monkey target tho. Not sure what happened with that but you seem to drop way quicker and it’s pretty much unplayable now. Sad because I loved that mini game as a kid

Yeah I managed to make it to the far targets on a few of the stages, but the physics are way different.
