I know nothing of architecture, but a local church looks a bit like a rocket ship and that’s cool by me.

That is a neat exterior. Parts of it look Russian… and Czech. A bit of Polish. But also modern. Where is it?

Moving beyond DaPieDevil’s embarrassing trolling attempt: here’s some really cool stuff designed by John Outram, who is still alive. I’m both surprised and not surprised at all (the curse of having specialized faculty; no one knew anything about architecture, or they never revealed that they did) that his work was never mentioned once in relation to my colorful cross-section drawings done for grad school.

Also, check it out: BedZED is a housing complex in Hackbridge, England. It was the first large-scale modern community built specifically to avoid producing carbon emissions. I really like the look of this place. A good example of how to design “green” architecture that isn’t the dullest thing on Earth.

It is St Andrew Memorial Church in South Bound Brook, New Jersey. It is a Ukranian church, I believe my uncle got married there. Bonus picture just because I also like the statue out in front of it.
