Welp, now that everyone has been owned we’ll never see ferrets again ;_;7

I haven’t been owned by ferrets yet!

Here’s your chance for redemption because I’m ready to go again

unfortunately I have to head out soon so I can’t do another game until later tonight or tomorrow.

I gave him a ride today because we were the only two people who showed up. He invited me to hang out on Thursday and just play with each other. It was really surreal, I never thought I’d be making friends with a 76 year old man

I guess the game has no boundaries of age

@Doolittle recommended Cribbage With Grandpas which I got for me wife, who grew up tending her family’s small-town pharmacy/ice cream parlor. A place like that has a regular crowd of a dozen olds who hang out, complain that the 25c-coffee is too expensive, and hassle each other.

She can only play it for a short period before she starts crying

I finally owned Tulpa but it was pretty close.

close + owned = cloned

I need to start playing more ranked games. Sometimes it feels like I only win when I play non-ranked and I only lose when I play ranked

Go is a game I wanted to learn for years.

I learned it wrong 3 times so far…

where have the Go senseis gone?

I should have some time today to play some Go if anyone is down.

what’s the best online go?

KGS has a very high user population, but its interface is literally over a decade old and can be off-putting to some. OGS (online-go.com) is very well polished and has a great mobile site. It’s mostly populated with western players, so it’s better for English speakers, but you won’t find as many games on OGS than on KGS. It’s up to personal preference.

I guess Dutch is helping.

well?

who won?

(11:54:43 AM) secret: dutch claims a lot of territory for black
(11:57:44 AM) shrug: the megastone
(11:57:51 AM) secret: it’s also safe with two eyes
(11:59:17 AM) shrug: an unbeatable attack

I never had a chance.

So I played with Old Matt last night (the 76yo dude) and I’m playing him at 3 stones now, which is really cool I guess
When I started coming to go club I was playing him with 9 stones, so it’s nice to look back and track my progress and see actual improvement. I honestly don’t think it should be too long before I start playing even games with him

Sorry I missed your challenge @Ayanami77Ivy I have a bad habit of being idle and paying no attention to the OGS tab.

No worries, was just killing some time on the webs and saw you on there.
