oh my god

My favorite moment in the museum is the bit where they have all the animal creature silhouettes except the one above the prehistoric man one is empty and there’s a little space for you to walk up and stand there and a little spotlight comes on you.

Do I, the physical media loyalist, cave and buy this as a downloadable?

With a game you’re supposed to check into briefly every day, I gotta say I’m happy I don’t have to swap carts every time.

I always have the ā€œI might want to play this in 20 years and the servers might be long goneā€ thought and buy physical whenever possible but this is a good point and everything’s ephemeral anyway so I dunno.

I also did this until I saw people talk about Animal Crossing on twitter

Harvest Moon is very good, too me, but New Horizons seems to be the best video game ever made so maybe there’s room in my heart for both

So that’s what happened to @diplo :crying_cat_face:

Feelin’ like the villain in a Sion Sono movie.

Heads up for those sharing your town:

my girlfriend and I have been depressed and anxious during our quarantine but looking forward to sharing the Animal Crossing experience together. Because I happened to be the first person to start a new game:

  • She doesn’t seem to get new DIY recipes
  • She isn’t asked to help upgrade the island
  • She isn’t invited to participate in new projects
  • She cannot help me with my own island projects
  • She isn’t even allowed to check in-progress projects to see what resources are needed.

Tom Nook literally tells her to ask me what I need.

I suppose this is as equally in line with previous entries then with this stuff.

Yeah, just one short visit was enough to demonstrate to me and Julie just how much better wireless multiplayer is compared to playing on the same system. I’m disappointed that they didn’t handle this better, but they got our money, so I guess it’s paying off for them.

Yup, I’ve been playing as player 2 on this one and it is a pain how I don’t get any of the ā€œmain questsā€. But I hear that this stuff really levels off after about a week of play at least.

Also we just discovered this, but Timmy has a SECOND PAGE OF SHIT before you build the store

you have to hit the R button

It has all the DIY recipes the second player missed

I really don’t understand the logic of not letting other residents contribute to community building projects and stuff. I would love it if this could treat all players as close to equally as possible.

system sales

it’s a bummer, but i guess it’s that. it’s wack because genuinely sharing an island rules.

also can’t imagine paying 260-360 dollars just to play a more satisfying version of the same game

but I am not a hardcore crossinghead I guess
