I love my deep dives and revisits. Looks like a DS one is coming up. Why not ask my favorite and only forum what should I play on this cart I curated like two years ago. Some of these were because I had them physical and now why bother? Some of these are the pile of RPGs the West was DENIED and that’s a CRIME in states that don’t exist. There is also Electroplankton.
Or maybe I’ll just fall into Steal Princess and never leave because 300 isometric jumping puzzles and no plot sounds like a dream rather than a dissapointment it did 15 years ago.
i dunno if its any good or not, seemed fairly normal and id rather play something else, but for whatever reason nora to toki no koubou had a bunch of finnish as part of its fantasy world which was very funny to me in particular
I just recently gave up my very long slow playthrough of Solatorobo even though I’m on like chapter 13 or 14. that game is boring and padded out as hell.
Solve bad non puzzles with your different costumes
Default DS font on everything
One of those games that tutorializes everything except how the hell you’re supposed to play it
I didn’t think a second game would ever have Mega Man ZX’s map.
Open treasure chests by walking in front of them waiting for the “open chest” icon to appear touch it, then get a tutorial for a DS touchscreen mini-game that is in dozens of other games, wait for the countdown, then play the mini game, then get DS font You got Gold Bookends. Those are worth $123. This had been added to your treasure booklet.
Once I had to type my name in I started cursing because I knew what was coming.
I mean you know I’m gonna say Solatorobo, the only game I have ever played that has a different opening for each ‘season’ like it was a freaking anime.
I really liked Solatorobo when I played it at launch. It does have like Treasure level mechanics but they never ask to use them to that level which was a dissappointment.
I think alot that the art book explained the unique technology powering the toilets in the furry sky world.
u already got metal max 2 on there but i am going to recommend metal max 3 because i have been sending dylan “omg look at this” pictures about it pretty much daily since i started playing it. also it was developed before mm2r(eloaded) even though it is the sequel to mm2r(egular). also u have the advantage of being able to play it in japanese rather than futzing with delta patchers.
i’ve only played mm3 but it is a straight up jrpg w towns and sidequests and great npc dialogue and also you have vehicles which you customise as you play but they’re basically extra party members, not a complicated extra system or point of focus. if the game didn’t have them it would not be very different.
i’d say that metal max games have combat like a typical japanese rpg, but structurally they’re a lot more open, like a western rpg.
they’re not totally open world, but there’s also a whole bounty hunter thing that kind of reminds me a little of the witcher: you take on a job to kill a monster, get told the general area where it hangs out, then you follow clues to track it down and kill it.
