I saw Jonathan and Tommy Larkins perform last night and it was incredible. It’s really special to see. There are so many decisions that make it into a casual, personal atmosphere. I’ll write more about it when I have time but I’m too excited to say nothing right now.

So many times he had me on the verge of tears and then he would cut it with a joke. There was so much improvisation, with the guitar, with his asides, a cowbell solo…

He trained everyone on how to participate on David & Goliath and it was roaring. He did play Night Fever as I had hoped.

He would often step away from the mic to gesticulate, dance, or jam out. It was much quieter than most concerts I’ve been to. Around Let Her Go Into The Darkness, someone in the back of the crowd started laughing uncontrollably. He played it off nonchalantly. Someone shouted Lesbian Bar. He said “I was just thinking that. I just had the same exact thought.” Wonderful show and I’d love to see him again.
