this makes me a little sad because as much as it’s nice to see HD “remasters” of old Apogee games (the Secret Agent one in particular was cool) it bums me out that because of rights issues that there will probably not be a decent one of these for Commander Keen games. i have a certain amount of nostalgia for DOS Apogee platformers but the Commander Keen games so obviously stand out from mostly all of their contemporaries. would so love a Commander Keen 1-6 + Keen Dreams pack that also comes with a level editor for old/newer Keen.

i would be pretty happy with Duke Nukem 1 + 2 HD (1 is highly underrated, 2 is basically kusoge) and Cosmo’s Cosmic Adventure HD though.

There was a “HD remaster” of Keen Dreams, I bought it on Switch but it’s pretty bad. It doubles the levels, but they changed the structure of the game so you have to like, find every collectable in a level or beat it under a certain time to get the bombs and it just doesn’t feel fun.

Friday the 13th: The Video Game just got the option for players to host their own lobbies, facilitating private matches. If you haven’t played it and like social RP games and have friends, this is a good one that never got a lot of attention. It’s also on sale!! Really fun game!!!
